Y olanda Turrubiates, 58, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in Hereford, Texas. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Rosary will be Monday, October 25, 2021, at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Yolanda was born August 21, 1963, in Hereford, Texas to Jose C. and Olga C. (Casarez) Tijerina. Yolanda was a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1980. She was employed at several Independent School Districts in the surrounding area. She was a homemaker as well and took so much pride in raising her two children. Yolanda loved to scrap book, and bake, her specialties were banana nut bread, lasagna, and meatloaf, she was an excellent cook. She loved her red lipstick, music especially Selena, singing; she was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, she loved gardening and bringing home all the stray dogs. Yolanda loved her family deeply, her brothers and sisters, but most of all her children and spending time with her daughter and her grandbabies. She loved her best friends deeply, Nora and Nelda and always had an open door at her home for everyone, Yolanda had a huge heart that will be dearly missed by so many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Ramon Turrubiates of Hereford, Texas, and Ranae Teofila Reyes of Hereford, Texas; 5 grandchildren Destiny Nevaeh Turrubiates, Roman Ray Turrubiates, Raelynn Serenite Reyes, Avery Renetta Joelynn Reyes and Poe Hazel Carter; her siblings, Joe Tijerina and his wife Ernestine of Hereford, Texas, Abelardo Tijerina and his wife Sandra of Harker Heights, Texas, Henrietta Tijerina of Hereford, Texas, Janet Tijerina and her husband Hilario Fuentes of Hereford, Texas, Ciro Tijerina and his wife Jesse of Olton, Texas and Olga Tijerina and her fiancé Lee Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, several nieces and nephews.

Yolanda is joining her parents in heaven.
