Willie "Yemo" Villegas passed away and is now rejoicing in the Lord's presence with his loving wife on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren in Hereford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Ramon Molina officiating, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. A family and friend visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 3:00-5:00 P.M. and Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10:00-8:00 P.M. with a rosary starting at 6pm at the funeral home. The Villegas family has entrusted services to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.

Willie was born to his parents Wenceslado Villegas, Sr., and Gudelia Yturbe on July 17, 1943, in Sanderson, Texas. Willie met Mary Velasquez in 1958, and they got married in May of 1964 and together they made Hereford home and started a beautiful, loving family. Willie and Mary instilled many life lessons in their children, and they will carry on their legacy. Willie had an exquisite work ethic, as he worked up until the day, he physically wasn't able to. He was employed with Bar-G Feedyard for 42 years as a loader operator. Previously he was employed by Armour and Company for 11 years before they closed. Willie's tremendous work ethic started at a young age as he worked very hard for his family. Willie enjoyed going to the ranch with his brother Ben and had a true passion for boating. If Willie was on a boat, then it would be a good day. He loved to water ski in his younger days and always had a pet that listened to him. He had a sweet tooth and enjoyed delicious sweets and loved popcorn.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Sylvia Villegas, Willie Villegas (Jacqueline), Bertha Rodriguez (Ronnie) all of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Louis, Danny, Steve, Deric, Megan, Lil Ronnie, Isabel, Regan, Diego, Timothy, Diamond, Ezekiel, and Gabby; his great-grandchildren, Avariah, Zaibrianna, Estevan, Amy, Everleigh, Scarlett, C.J., and Dayton; his sibling's Wenceslado "Ben" Villegas, Cruz Ybarra, Adela Cantu, Mary Mejia all of Hereford, Texas, Esau Villegas and wife Rachel of El Paso, Texas.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Those preceding him in passing are his loving wife Mary V. Villegas, his parents, and his loving siblings.
