Weldon Eugene Toews, 87, of Hereford, Texas passed away on October 29, 2019, in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating, burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Hereford, TX. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will be held Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Weldon was born February 21, 1932 to Nick P. Toews and Mamie Lee (Bedford) Toews, in Littlefield, Texas. Weldon was a resident of Hereford for 50 years; he married Helen Louise Garner on August 4, 1978 in Clovis, New Mexico. He owned and operated Weldon's Roofing Company. Weldon enjoyed traveling and hunting pheasant, dove and quail, he also loved fishing. He was a member of Avenue Baptist Church of Hereford, TX.

Those left to cherish his memories, are one son; Glenn Eugene Toews and fiancé Tammie Reed of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, one stepson Jimmy Moore and wife Carol of Burlington, Colorado; one sister, Frances Stipe of Dalhart, Texas; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Helen Toews.
