Virginia C. Jaramillo, 87, of Hereford, Texas formerly of Asherton, Texas passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Celebrant Anthony Neusch, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery of Hereford, Texas. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin on Thursday from 1:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home, rosary will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Virginia was born August 7, 1932 in Asherton, Texas to Faustino and Ruperta (Ramirez) Cardona. Virginia was born and raised in Asherton, Texas and lived most of her life there. She worked as an agricultural laborer and was a homemaker raising her children. She has been a resident of Hereford since 2002, moving here due to her health and to be closer to her daughter. Virginia was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Hereford, Texas. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling to see family and was known by her family as, "the boss and in charge".

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Mary Rodriguez and her husband Mario of Hereford, Texas; a son Juan Jaramillo and his wife Rose of Lufkin, Texas; two daughters-in-law Juanita Jaramillo of Lufkin, Texas and Flo Jaramillo of LaPorte, Texas; two sisters Olivia Martinez of Asherton, Texas and Olga Martinez and her husband Guadalupe of Houston, Texas; one brother Faustino Cardona, Jr. of Midland, Texas; eleven grandchildren Cecelia Cabezuela, Johnny Jaramillo, Richard Jaramillo, Jessica Jaramillo, Melissa Garza, Denise Barrera, Daniel Jaramillo, Michael Rodriguez, Jennifer Panalez, Michael Jaramillo and Selena Jaramillo; twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Celestino Jaramillo, two sons Celestino Jaramillo, Jr. and Alex Jaramillo; three sisters Adelena Sifunetez, Minerva Cruz and Eva Bernal and one brother Rene Cardona.
