Viola Salazar Bautista, 47, of Hereford, Texas passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Hereford. Cremation services and arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. No services have been scheduled at this time.

Viola was born September 3, 1971 in Hereford, Texas to Pablo and Alicia (Ramon) Salazar. Viola graduated from Hereford High School in 1989. She married Gilbert Bautista on May 22, 1992. Viola enjoyed gardening, watching movies, doing crossword puzzles and most of all joking and getting a laugh from those around her. Viola's disability never allowed her to quit in life.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Gilbert Bautista of Friona, her mother Alicia "Licha" Salazar of Hereford; her children Gilbert Bautista and Mario Barajas both of Hereford; Taylor Bautista of Washington and a step-son Joseph Bautista of Clovis, NM; three brothers Benito Salazar and his wife Jessica and Paul Salazar all of Amarillo and Trinidada Salazar of Hereford; a sister Argelia Hernandez and her husband Julian of Hereford; 9 grandchildren.

Viola is preceded in death by her dad Pablo Salazar and her grandmother Genoveva Delgado.
