Valentin Garcia Mancha, Jr., 58, formerly of Hereford, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Juarez, Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 PM at La Misión de San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin Wednesday from 1:30PM-8:00 PM, rosary will be Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

Valentin was born September 26, 1961 in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico to Valentin, Sr. and Matilde (Mancha) Garcia. Valentin was raised in Hereford and attended schools in Hereford. He worked for Caviness Beef Packers, Hi-Pro and Keeling Cattle Feeders while living in Hereford. The last 15 years he has resided in Juarez, Mexico and was a welder. Valentin attended San Jose Catholic Church. He was a jokester, he enjoyed dancing, listening to music and taking his parents out for dinner, but more than any of these he loved his father, mother and his family. Valentin's famous words were, "Yo soy quien soy e nadíen me parezco".

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents Valentin, Sr. and Matilde Garcia of Hereford, a sister Armandina Lira of Hereford; three sons Eduardo Garcia and his wife Brandy of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Christafer Rios Garcia and his wife Jessica od San Antonio and Valenti Garcia III of  Juarez, Mexico; two daughters Marisela Garcia and her husband Michael Turchi of Michigan and Esperanza Montya of Juarez, Mexico; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews, sixteen great nieces and nephews and one aunt Thomasita Cortez.

Valentin is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Guadalupe and Euseloia Mancha and his paternal grandparents Savino and Gavina Garcia, one son Jesus Garcia and a brother-in-law Javier Lira, Sr.
