Thomas "Tommy" Garcia, 55, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family in Amarillo, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Celebrant Grant Spinhirne. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Tommy was born on October 19, 1970, in Hereford, Texas, to Primitivo and Irma (Cantu) Garcia. He met and married the love of his life, Lisa Hernandez, on January 8, 1993, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas, where they were both members. Together, Tommy and Lisa built a wonderful life and a beautiful family.

Tommy worked for approximately 10 years with Reiter Trucking, hauling cattle—a job he truly enjoyed. He found great pleasure in riding his motorcycle with friends, hosting cookouts, listening to Spanish music and ZZ Top at full volume, and dancing. Tommy was especially proud of his big red semi and his red pick-up. He loved his cats and had many passions, but what he cherished most was spending quality time with his family. Tommy's big heart, joyful nature, and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tommy's memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Lisa Garcia of Hereford; his children, Karyssa Garcia of Amarillo, and Michaela Garcia and T.J. Garcia of Hereford; his father, Primitivo Garcia of Hereford; his sister, Angie Garcia of Hereford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is reunited in peace with his mother, Irma Garcia; his brothers, Henry, Bobby, and Jose Luis Garcia; his paternal grandparents, Enrique and Angelita Garcia; his maternal grandparents, Sylvestre and Cenovia Cantu; and his mother-in-law, Luz Hernandez.
