Teresa Fangman Paetzold, 90, a long time resident of Hereford, Texas, beloved mother, wife and grandmother passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas surrounded by her loved ones after a long meaningful life. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Celebrant John Valdez officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 4-6 PM at the funeral home and rosary to begin at 6:00 PM.

Teresa, daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Fangman was born on April 1, 1931, in Hereford, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Walter John Paetzold Sr., on November 19, 1951.

Teresa and Walter raised their family south of Hereford, which grew to seven children. Teresa's father gave them a heifer calf for a wedding present which started them in the cattle business. She enjoyed raising her children and working in her flower garden. She was very involved in the church and was a member of various organizations over the years. After all her children were raised, she volunteered at the Senior Citizens Thrift Store. Those who knew Teresa would describe her as a very patient, kind and loving person who always put her family first.

Those left to cherish her memories are daughters; Wanda Champ and husband Terry of Magnolia, Texas, Joni Tackett and husband Mike of La Luz, New Mexico, Loretta Dryden of Canyon, Texas, Donna Juett and husband Andy of Argyle, Texas; sons, Walter Paetzold Jr., and wife Laurie of Hereford, Texas, Stanley Carl Paetzold and wife Dallas of Amarillo, Texas; 21 grandkids, 31 great grandkids and 3 great-great grandkids.

Teresa is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Paetzold, Sr., her parents, four brothers and three sisters, daughter Margie Schlafer, grandson Ryan Champ, and a great grandson Jace Turney.
