Sylvia Landin Ruiz passed away at 67 years old, suddenly surrounded by her family at her home in Hereford, Texas, on Sunday, December 5, 2025. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Sylvia was born to her parents, Fransico Landin and Pola (Salias) Landin in Hereford, Texas. Sylvia was a lifelong Hereford resident. Sylvia spent the past 40 years with her loving husband Jessie, together they raised a beautiful family. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family and loved watching TV. She was a great cook up until the day she was able to cook.

Those left to carry on her legacy, her husband Jessie Ruiz of Hereford, Texas; Lori Lopez and husband Ezekial, Franisco Perez and wife Juanita all of Hereford, Texas, Daniel Perez of Houston, Texas, Pedro "Pete" Perez and wife Monica of Friona, Texas, Isabel Celaya and her husband Johnny of Hereford; her loving brother Homer Landin of Hereford, Texas; 15 grandchildren;1 great-grandchild.

Those preceding her in passing are her loving family members.
