Steven Aguilar Aguilera, 35, of Odessa, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at his home. A family and friend condolence will be received on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 12:00PM-1:00PM.  Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery with Reverend. Nestor Lara of San Jose Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Masks are encouraged if attending services.

Steven was born December 27, 1985, in Amarillo, Texas to Samuel Aguilar and Belia Flores, Steven was raised in Hereford for most of his life before moving to Odessa in 2003. Steven was known for his laughter and the want and need for making everyone laugh, his love of politics, but probably more for his love of writing, singing and dancing to music. He enjoyed making music with his nephews and was known to maybe have a 40 while listening to Groupo Siggno. He had a love for making pico de gallo and jalapeno poppers. Most of all Steven was a very smart, loving, caring, giving and a hardworking individual and loved his family dearly.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Belia and husband Raul De La Paz of Odessa, Texas, Samuel Aguilar and wife Elizabeth of Hereford, Texas, children: Benita Aguilar, Persaius Aguilar, Anastasia Aguilar and Carolina Aguilar, siblings: Sammy Aguilar, Chris Aguilar and wife Victoria, Amanda Aguilar, Andrew Aguilar and wife Desiree, Daniel Aguilar and wife Sylvia, Zachary Aguilar and wife Bria, Samantha Uribe and husband Andy. Step Siblings: Jason De La Paz, Chris De La Paz, Kaityln Aguilar and Angela De La Paz and the mothers of his children Danielle Lujan and Rocio Alvarado and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.

Steven was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents: Donicio and Maria Aguilera, Maternal Grandparents: Mario and Belia Flores, Aunt: Delia Guerrero and Two Uncles: Carlos Flores and Rogelio Aguilera.
