Stella Murillo, 66, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Hereford. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Stella was born on February 10, 1959, in Hereford, Texas, to Miguel Marinez, Sr. Stella has been a proud homemaker most of her life, taking much pride in caring for her husband and raising her children and grandchildren. She married the love of her life, Robert Murillo, Sr. on February 22, 1977, together they lived a beautiful life up until his death in 2006. Stella enjoyed going to play Bingo, taking care of her grandchildren, visiting her 3 best friends, while enjoying her Coke with peanuts, but her biggest love in life was her family and spending quality time with each one of them. Stella's presence, smile and laughter will be missed by all those who love her dearly.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Lisa Escobedo and her husband Alvino of Hereford and Robert Murillo, Jr., of Hereford; her five grandchildren, Zarinity, Zamiha and Zaylis Escobedo and Phillip and Matthew Murillo, and a few great grandchildren; her siblings, Beatrice Marinez and her spouse Melissa Reyna of Montana and Michael Marinez, Jr., of San Antonio; her brother-in-law, Jessie Murillo and his wife Delilah of Hereford;  two nephews, John Paul Marinez and his wife Brenda, and Mark Anthony Marinez and his wife Joleah all of Montana, and three great nieces and nephews; Stella's best friends, Lupe Juarez, Joe Martinez and Gloria Martinez all of Hereford.

Stella is preceded in death by her father, her husband Robert Murillo, Sr., her aunt, Elizabeth Marinez and her grandfather, Pablo Marinez, her in-laws, Raul and Francisca Murillo and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
