Simon "Fat Boy" Tovar, Jr., 19, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. There are no scheduled services currently.

Simon was born on September 24, 2002, in Hereford, Texas, to Simon Tovar, Sr. and Denise Rios. Simon was known to his family and friends as "Fat Boy." He was a Dallas Cowboy fan, a jokester and someone who had a really, big heart. He enjoyed hanging out and having cookouts with his friends and his family, he especially enjoyed his time with his older brother. "Fat Boy" will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Denis Rios and her husband Justino Torres of Dallas, Texas, and his father Simon Tovar, Sr. of Hereford, Texas; his siblings Sergio Rios of Hereford, Texas, Destinee, Desiree and Christian Tovar all of Dallas, Texas; his grandmother Ismelda Rios of Amarillo, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Tony Rios, Jr. of Hereford, Texas, Linda Rios, Adam Rios, Eli Tovar, Steve Tovar, Yolanda, Maria, Rebecca and Esther, and numerous  cousins. Lupe Elizondo, Cindy Trevino, and Ricky Prieto were incredibly special to Simon.

Those preceded in death are his paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, and his uncle Paul Tovar.
