Sherry Darlene Lee, 80, of Hereford, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

As the yellow rose faded from the earth; the people she left behind wept.

At the same time in Heaven there was a feist and dancing with friends and family who'd waited for so long to see the yellow rose once again. May she rest in peace and joy.

Sherry Darlene Lee 11/27/1941 – 03/03/2022

Sherry Lee, better known as Darlene, married her only love Louis C. Lee on November 27, 1956. They shared a beautiful life together for 58 years and had two daughters, Jeanette Hardy and husband Terry of Hereford and Paula McIntosh of Hereford; one son, Rick Lee who passed away in 2008 and wife Debra of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Terra Lara and husband Jasson of Hereford, Amber Roach and husband Cody of Oklahoma, Patrick Lee and wife Lauren of Oklahoma, and Ashley Lee of Hereford; five great grandchildren, Josalynn Nikkel and husband Ryan, Pacen Lara, Noah Lara, Shawn Roach and Emalee Roach; and one great-great grandchild Jaxon Grey Nikkel.

She will be remembered for her beautiful yard and love for the Dallas Cowboys (she never picked up the phone or talked to anyone if a game was on), and her dog Button.
