RosaLinda "Rose" Ellis entered her eternal home and the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Hereford, Texas, at the age of 66.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Visitation and Viewing will be on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the church. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Rose was born on November 6, 1958, in Littlefield, Texas to her mom Gabriella Alvarez Perez. Rose married her best friend and love Joe Cruz Ellis, Jr., on April 10, 1982, in Dimmitt. Rose was a true Proverbs 31 woman, who proudly cared for her husband, children, and home. She was a strong woman of faith and a devoted member of Good News Church; she loved to help and serve her church and planted the seed of faith and love for Jesus in her children.

Rose was a great housewife and the best cook and baker. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, shopping, iced coffee, and watching the Martin Show and the Jaime Fox Show. She always wanted to look her best and was delighted to get her hair, nails, and eyelashes done. She enjoyed good food, Joe's cookouts, and time spent with her family. She was an adored Grandma and Gosha, the life of the party, with a contagious laugh and cheerful personality.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Audra Valdez and husband Freddy of Hereford, Texas; Joe Cruz Ellis III and wife Erica of Lubbock, Texas; and ShyLee Marissa Ortiz and husband Jesus of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Josiah Rando and wife Nevaeh Maestas, Joshua Rando, Abram Ajqui, Joe Cruz Ellis IIII, Logan Lance Ellis, and Peyton Rilee Ellis; great grandchildren, Yaretzy Arlette Ortiz, Amari Adilene Rando, and one on the way Israel Amir Ortiz; siblings, Paul Gonzalez of Muleshoe, Texas, Juan Duran of Amarillo, Texas, Daniel Jimenez and wife Myriam of Orlando Florida, Raul Urias and wife Julie of Salt Lake City, and Esau Jimenez of San Antonio, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mom Gabriella Alvarez Perez, husband Joe Cruz Ellis, Jr., daughter Pearl Marissa Gonzalez and sister Dora Evatt.
