Robert (Bob) M. Hicks passed away after a short illness on December 13, 2021, at Baptist St. Anthony in Amarillo, Texas.  Bob was born on February 6, 1936, in Hereford, Texas.  He was the youngest of five children of Clifford M. Hicks and Elizabeth Montague.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Hereford and graduated from Hereford High School in 1955.  He attended West Texas State University and received his Agricultural Mechanics degree.

Bob married his high school sweetheart, Linda Lea Reese July 6, 1956, in Hereford.  They were married 65 years at the time of his death.  Bob was a lifelong farmer and he raised corn, wheat, sugar beets, and kids.  He was a faithful member of the Central Church of Christ in Hereford.

He was predeceased by his parents and his older siblings.  He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; son Britt and wife, Mona of Guymon; Oklahoma, son, Kent and wife, Kristen of Hereford; and daughter, Joni and husband Greg Hartman of Sayre, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by grandchildren Cortney and husband, Aaron Loui of Chandler, Arizona; Brad and wife, Ashley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Kaden and wife, Averye of Lubbock, Texas; Halle Hartman of Sayre, Oklahoma; and Kamille Hicks of Hereford; and great grandson, Luke Loui; sister in law, Jan and husband, Jim Wood of Spiro, Oklahoma; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Central Church of Christ in Hereford.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Bob may in a special way make gifts in his memory to the Manuelito Navajo Children's Home, PO Box 58, Gallup, New Mexico 87305 and Christian Children's Home, 1356 NM-236 Portales, New Mexico 88130.  Arrangements by Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.
