Robert P. Butch, 84, died peacefully on October 26, 2021, surrounded by several of his family members, in Amarillo, Texas.

A mass will be held for Robert on November 6, 2021, at 11am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, Texas.

Robert was born on January 7, 1937, to Peter and Mildred Butch in Pinconning-TWP, Michigan. He proudly served in the US Army.

Robert had a long, adventurous journey with the love of his life, Mary Jane. They married on May 12, 1956, in Pinconning, Michigan. After the birth of their first 2 children, Beckie and Bobby, they decided to move to Dallas, Texas in 1959. While there Patti, Kellie, Bryan, and Joe were born. Dallas was home while they raised their family. Robert and Mary Jane later moved to Palm Springs, California and then to Mesa, Arizona. Robert was a car salesman for most of his career. He was very involved in his church community at St. Timothy's and served in the hospital ministry while in Mesa, Arizona.

He is survived by his sister Dorothy Almy and 6 loving children and their spouses: daughter Beckie Fry and husband Stan, son Bobby Butch, daughter Patti LaPorte and husband Mike, daughter Kellie Schank, son Bryan Butch and wife Sylvia and son Joe Butch.

He was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Emily and Mack Nielsen, Katherine and Brandon Forquer, Rebecca and Jessie Sanchez, Jennifer and Robby Seeds, Kimberly and Jaime Rayas, Whitney and Michael Chandler, and Wyatt Butch and Natalie Butch.

He also enjoyed 15 great grandchildren: Braylon, Sydnee and Claire Nielsen, Blaire and Bianca Forquer, Lukas and River Sanchez, Emma, Katy, Addison, Josh, and Jake Seeds, Bobby and Sophia Rayas, and Joseph Chandler and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new little Chandler.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Jane Butch, by his father and mother Peter and Mildred Butch and his sister, Carol Tremble.
