Rhoda "Michelle" Cervantez, 49, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Rev. Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, January 2, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Michelle was born on July 30, 1975, in Hereford, Texas, to Jose Jesus and Carmel (Castillo) Cervantez. Even though Michelle was disabled and confined to a wheelchair all her life, she had the sweetest spirit and smile. When any of her family members came for a visit, her smile would illuminate the room letting them know she knew who they were. Michelle loved her family and enjoyed gatherings and spending time with them. Michelle's presence and smile will be missed by those who loved her dearly, but her family sings praise today knowing her body has been healed and is whole again.

Those left to remember and cherish her memories are her parents, Jose and Carmel Cervantez of Hereford, Texas, her 2 brothers, Ricardo and Raymond Cervantez of Hereford, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michelle is preceded in death by a brother, Jose J. "Baby Joe" Cervantez, Jr., and both maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles
