Reymundo G. Barrientos, 72, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church in the hall with Celebrant Ramon Molina, burial will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Hereford. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will be at 1:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the funeral home. Rosary will be Sunday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Reymundo was born on March 15, 1947 in San Benito, Texas to Carlos and Manuela (Guerrero) Barrientos. He was a resident of Hereford for 45 years; Reymundo was a very hard-working man. He was a carpenter; he also was employed with Holy Sugar for 30 years. He worked for Bar-G Feed yard for 12 years as the night security guard, retiring shortly after his employment with Bar G. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to music and eating ice cream. He enjoyed building with wood and joking around. He was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose Catholic Church of Hereford.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Jessica Barrientos and her husband Jose Casarez, Valerie Ann Leal and her husband Estil Guerrero and Diana Garza and her husband Manuel all of Hereford, TX; Juan Carlos Barrientos and his wife Angie and Angel Valle, Jr. all of Amarillo, TX; Rose Mary Hernandez and her husband Juan of Laredo, TX and Brenda Alcantar and her husband Ismael of Weslaco, TX; Reymundo Barrientos, Jr. and his wife Marisela of Brownsville, TX; Joey Barrientos and his wife Rosie. Three brothers Felix Barrientos and his wife Maria of Hereford, TX., Samuel Barrientos of Harlingen, TX. and Jose Lionel Barrientos and his wife Lionila; three sisters Maria Rodriguez and her husband Lupe, Francisca Villalovos and Juana Nino. 25 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Reymundo is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maria Elena Barrientos, two sisters Flora Barrientos and Elvira Barrientos
