Ramon Socorro Rivera Guardiola, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in Hereford, at the age of 68.  

  Ramon was born on August 16, 1957, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Hector and Micaela (Guardiola) Rivera. He moved to Hereford in 1979.  

  Ramon was hardworking, a skilled carpenter, and talented in electrical work. He had a strong faith and faithfully read his scriptures.  

  He loved working on his ranch and caring for his farm animals. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed teasing his children and grandchildren. Ramon was loving, protective, caring, and a wonderful grandfather.  

  Those left to cherish his memories are his three children, Ruby Rivera of Hereford, Texas, Ramon Rivera and his wife Kimmi of Bronte, Texas, and Rosa E. Rivera of Hereford, Texas; two grandchildren, Rosa Esperanza Mejia and Ramon Ezequial Rivera; brother Apolonio Rivera, Sr. of Amarillo, Texas; sisters Emma Rivera and Ramona Rivera de Espino of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

  He is preceded in death by his parents Hector and Micaela Rivera; brother Arturito Rivera; and sisters Lolita Rivera and Conchita Rivera.  

  Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home, burial will follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford under the care and direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.  

  Visitation and Viewing will be prior to the service on Thursday, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  

  Ramon Socorro Rivera Guardiola, de Hereford, Texas, falleció el jueves 30 de julio de 2026 en Hereford, a los 68 años.  

  Ramón nació el 16 de agosto de 1957 en Chihuahua, México, hijo de Héctor y Micaela (Guardiola) Rivera. Se mudó a Hereford en 1979.  

  Ramón era trabajador, un carpintero hábil y talentoso en el trabajo eléctrico. Tenía una fe fuerte y leía fielmente sus escrituras.  

  Le encantaba trabajar en su rancho y cuidar a sus animales de granja. Tenía buen sentido del humor y disfrutaba molestar a sus hijos y nietos. Ramón era amoroso, protector, cariñoso y un abuelo maravilloso.  

  Quienes quedan para atesorar sus recuerdos son sus tres hijos: Ruby Rivera de Hereford, Texas; Ramón Rivera y su esposa Kimmi de Brontë, Texas; y Rosa E. Rivera de Herford, Texas; dos nietos, Rosa Esperanza Mejia y Ramón Ezequial Rivera; su hermano Apolonio Rivera, Sr. de Amarillo, Texas; las hermanas Emma Rivera y Ramona Rivera de Espino, de México; y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.  

  Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres Héctor y Micaela Rivera; su hermano Arturito Rivera; y sus hermanas Lolita Rivera y Conchita Rivera.  

  El servicio de Celebración de la Vida será el jueves 6 de agosto de 2026 a las 11:30 AM en la Funeraria Familiar Mendez and Mullins; el entierro seguirá en el Cementerio West Park en Hereford bajo el cuidado y dirección de la Funeraria Familiar Mendez y Mullins.  

  La visita y el velatorio serán antes del servicio el jueves, de 10:00 a 11:00 AM, en la funeraria.
