Rachel Martinez, 39, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Summerfield, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Rachel was born on April 1, 1983, in Hereford, Texas to Roy Martinez and Brenda (Davis) Luna. She attended elementary and high school in Hereford. Rachel worked for Azteca Milling, Caviness, and most recently Cargill. Rachel was a force; she was very open and would talk about anything with anyone. She was hardworking and took pride in providing for her children. She loved all types of music and enjoyed dancing, having a goodtime, playing Bingo, and barbequing with family, friends, or by herself. She was most proud of her oldest daughters graduating high school and going to college. Rachel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Mya Martinez, Ebony Flores, Dametrie Garcia, Gilbert Flores, and Devin Martinez all of Hereford, Texas; parents, Roy Martinez of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Brenda Luna of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Ashley Martinez of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Roy Keith Martinez of Hereford, Texas, Kevin Martinez and wife Veronica of Hereford, Texas, Josh Martinez of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Ryan Martinez of Amarillo, Texas; maternal grandfather Darrell Davis of Lubbock , Texas; nephews, Noah Martinez, Kaleb Martinez, Deshawn Martinez, and Dontay Santos; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Caroline Davis and paternal grandparents, Pioquinto and Hortencia Martinez.
