Petra García De Arroyo, de 86 años, de Hereford, Texas, falleció el sábado 4 de enero de 2025 en Ft Worth, Texas. La Misa Cristiana será el jueves 9 de enero de 2025 a las 2:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica de San José con el Celebrante Monseñor Arturo Mesa oficiando. Petra nació el 28 de agosto de 1939 en Santiago Capitiro, Guanajuato, México. Fue residente de Hereford, Texas, de 2003 a 2019, y luego se mudó a Ft. Worth para estar con su hija y su hijo. Petra se enorgullecía de ser ama de casa y ama de casa, criando a sus hijos y cuidando de su esposo. Le encantaba cantar, coser y ver sus novelas cortas y viejas películas familiares. A Petra le encantaba cocinar, pero el favorito de su familia era su queso de cabra casero. Mass of Christian will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Monsignor Arturo Mesa officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM., with rosary recited at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Petra was born on August 28, 1939, in Santiago Capitiro, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was a resident of Hereford, Texas, from 2003 to 2019, and then moved to Ft. Worth to be with her daughter and son. Petra took much pride being a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, raising her children, and taking care of her husband. She loved to sing, sew, and watch her novellas and old family movies. Petra loved to cook, but her family's favorite was her homemade goat cheese. She had many hobbies and passions in her life, but the love of her life was her family and especially her grandchildren. Anytime her family or grandchildren visited, she always made sure she had a snack ready for them. She made it a point to always have Sunday lunch ready for her children and family. Petra's presence, smile, beautiful singing voice, and generous heart will be missed by many.

Those who remain to keep and treasure their memories nearby are her children, Jesus Arroyo and his wife Maria Quintana of Hereford, Texas, Maria A. Baca and her husband Jose R. of Hereford, Texas, Alicia Rosas and her husband Rafael of Naples, Florida, Javier Arroyo of Ft. Worth, Texas, Juana Rodriguez and her husband Ruben of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Maria Luz Perez and her husband Alfonso Lopez of Ft. Worth, Texas; 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lucila García and her husband José Ortiz and Seferino García and his wife María Ramírez, all from Mexico.

Petra will join those who have gone before her in heaven, which are, her parents, her husband Jesus Arroyo, her son, Jose Arroyo, her daughter, Leticia Arroyo, 2 brothers, Guadalupe and Rafael Garcia, her sister, Maria De Jesus Garcia, her grandson, Arturo Arroyo and a great-grandson, Arturito Arroyo.
