Paula Martinez DeFlores, 86, of Bovina, Texas passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas. Chapel services will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel in Hereford, Texas with Celebrant Ramon Molina. Burial will take place in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico in the Cañada Ancha Cemetery, at a later date. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Paula was born June 30, 1933 in Cusiguiriachi, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro and Pompeya (Trujillo) Martinez. Paula and Manuel moved to Bovina in 2015 from Guymon, Oklahoma having lived there since the 1990's. Paula married Manuel Flores in 1952 and has been a homemaker most of her life. Paula enjoyed cooking, especially tamales and tortillas and her family states she was the "best cook ever". She loved praying, her faith was tremendously amazing, and she loved babysitting her grandchildren. Paula was the mother and grandmother who brought her family together for all the special occasions.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Manuel Flores of Bovina, Texas; her three sons Gilberto Flores, Armando Flores and his wife Alicia, Hermaso Flores and his wife Amelia all of Mexico and a daughter Carmen Lopez and her husband Ruben of Bovina, Texas; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Alicia Flores, a grandson Juan Flores and four sisters and two brothers.
