Paul Hubbard, 76, a longtime Hereford resident passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Amarillo. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Dotson officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Paul was born on February 13, 1947, to Leabert and Katherine (Jones) Hubbard in Nampa, Idaho. He has been a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, and attended HISD and was in the class of 1965; he later attended TSTI in Amarillo to learn commercial art and advertising, and became quite the creative, expressive, and imaginative artist that his family speaks proudly of.  Paul was a welder for Holly Sugar for 10 years or more, later joining John Pittman Golf Course as a member of the ground's maintenance crew. After close to a decade there, Paul moved to Ruidoso, NM, to become Superintendent of the Innsbrook Country Club Golf Course and later the Links at Sierra Blanca course, where he enjoyed the cool mountain scenery. Paul's first love was golf, and played the game very well, winning the Men's City Championship in Hereford in 1993. Paul played on several mini tours both on local and regional levels; in his younger days he also loved the game of slow pitch softball. Paul had many talents, he played the guitar and harmonica, and honestly, anything that Paul put his hands on or participated in, he did exceptionally well. His children state, "No matter what he did, he was good at it." Paul enjoyed old classic rock and country music, reminiscing with his family, and walking down memory lane, remembering many cherished memories with his family and friends. Paul's presence, laughter and sentimental ways will be dearly missed by many, especially his family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Rene Martinez, and Dustin Hubbard both of Amarillo, Texas, and Darla Hubbard and her husband William Sander of Grand Junction, Colorado; 8 grandchildren, Shelbee Aldape, Alxy Aldape, Hagen Martinez, Landri Martinez, Colton Hubbard, Delilah Sander, Walden Sander and Greta Sander and one great grandson on the way; 2 sisters, Linda Perry of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Kathy O'Rand and her husband Rodney of Hereford, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Billy, Johnny, and Larry Hubbard.
