Paul Drerup, 85, of Hereford, Texas passed away on April 24, 2023, in Hereford. Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Paul was born on October 18, 1937, in Happy, Texas, to Cornelius and Agnes (Bezner) Drerup. Paul has been a resident of Hereford all of his life. He worked as a mechanic and drove a truck during harvest for Ted Summer and Lloyd Newton Trucking. Paul enjoyed a good cigar and a drink; he loved cats and watching Gunsmoke. Paul was a good, simple man with few words.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sister Catherine Cortez of Hereford, Texas, brother Henry Drerup and his wife Julie of Sebastopol, California, twenty-seven nieces and nephews, including Julie and Steve Cortez of Hereford, Texas; and several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, and four sisters.
