Patsy King Fowler, 84, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Amarillo, surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was born on December 5, 1940, in Ryan Oklahoma, to Cleburn and Dorothy (Kelley) Owen. She married Doyle King on June 6, 1956. They shared 61 beautiful years together before his passing in 2017.

Patsy worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's trucking business, Doyle King Trucking and had her CDL license; she was always willing to drive the truck when needed. She started her own business, PDQ Signs, in 1992 and faithfully worked until 4 months ago. Patsy was a member of Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford.

Patsy was blessed to have had two wonderful, caring husbands; she married Troy Fowler on November 16, 2019.

She enjoyed dancing, singing, and even learned to play the guitar, often playing and singing "Red River Valley". Patsy was ecstatic to have met her "boyfriend", Bill Anderson at the Grand Ole Opry. She also enjoyed traveling, gambling, horse races, and cookouts in the back yard. Patsy loved her family and time together at family reunions and she loved going to the Hereford Senior Citizens for activities and eating.

Patsy was independent, never met a stranger, had a gift for talking, and was a friend to many. She was always happy, non-judgmental, believing the best in everyone.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Troy Fowler of Hereford, Texas; sons Carry King, Jr. and his wife Kyle of Amarillo, Texas, Randy King and his wife Lisa of Canyon, Texas; daughters, Deanna Frost and her husband Jeff of Amarillo, Texas, Kim Monroe of Amarillo, Texas, and Becky Kuykendall of Hereford, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; step children, Ruth Evenson and her husband Bobby of Springtown, Texas, Troy Fowler, Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, Charlotte Loftin of Garland, Texas, Tammie McKay and her husband Dennis of Alba, Texas, and Penny Fowler of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cleburn and Dorothy Owen, husband Doyle King, daughter Tina Sue King, granddaughters Brandi King and Leanna King, grandson Jacob Bryan, and siblings Loyce York and Charles Owen.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Avenue Baptist Church in Hereford, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM with her son Pastor Carry King and Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00 -8:00 PM at the funeral home.
