Pat Hagemeier, 62, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Dolores, Colorado. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins.  Family and Friend visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pat was born on December 29, 1961, in San Angelo, Texas, to Lloyd Duane and Sandra Lynne (Chaffee). He graduated from Hereford High School in 1979. After High School Pat proudly served in the United States Army, he was stationed in Berlin Germany and served as military police on trains. Pat received his law enforcement license and worked for the Deaf Smith County Sheriff's office from 1990 to 2020. He was a kind and fair deputy who served his community well. Pat married Louise (Traylor) Hagemeier on July 15, 2006.

Pat enjoyed everything outdoors and loved to camp, fish, hunt, and shoot guns.  He liked to cook, watch Netflix, shop on Amazon and at Walmart and play volleyball with the family and flag football on holidays. He was very competitive even if it meant injuring himself in the game and he was a jokester. Pat enjoyed woodworking and building things; he could fix just about anything, and he was proud of the playhouse that he built for his grandkids and the joy it brought to his family through the years. He was the very best dad and PaPa "PopPop" and loved his kids and grandkids more than anything. He loved to spoil and care for his wife Louise and help his family. He was the most reliable man, a man of his word and stood by the 5 P's which he instilled and constantly reminded his family, "Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance."

Those left to carry on his legacy are wife, Louise Hagemeier of Hereford, Texas; mom Sandra Chaffee of Flint, Texas; son Patrick Hagemeier of Dimmitt, Texas, daughter Chrissy Turnbull and husband Robert of Hobbs, New Mexico; stepsons Ian Railey and wife Lori of Lubbock Texas and Chip Armstrong and wife Codi of Lubbock, Texas; stepdaughter Brandi Moore of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Levi Hagemeier, Ryder Hagemeier, Timothy Turnbull, Zachary Turnbull, Kora Railey, Andrew Railey, Emma Railey, Parker Armstrong, Blayke Armstrong, Boston Moore, Ashtyn Maldonado, and Jerry Maldonado; great-grandchildren, Marcellus Maldonado, Zaelynn Maldonado, and Azriel Maldonado; siblings, Doug Hagemeier and wife Beth of Round Rock, Texas, Laura Borgeouis of Flint, Texas, Kerryn Kelly and Victor Booth of Fairhope, Alabama, Skip Hagemeier and wife Sherry of Grass Valley, California, Matt Stockstill and wife Maude of Tyler, Texas, and Amber Stockstill of Flint, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his dad Lloyd Hagemeier.
