Pastor Aquilino Flores, 84 a longtime resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 in Hereford. Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Iglesia de Cristo Church of Hereford with Pastor Isidro Jimenez officiating with burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will begin Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 1:30-8:00 PM at the church. Due to the mandates that have been placed because of the COVID-19 virus there will only be (10) people allowed at the church for viewing, at the funeral service and at the cemetery. Sorry if this has caused any inconvenience but your health and safety matter to us.

Aquilino was born May 12, 1935 in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pedro and Andrea (Castañeda) Flores. Aquilino has been a resident of Hereford since 1972. He married Francisca Lara on May 10, 1972. Aquilino has been a Pastor for 30 years and has pastored at the same church, Iglesia de Cristo. He was very active in visiting and ministering to the county jail inmates for over 20 years; he enjoyed going to the hospitals and nursing homes and witnessing to all that he could. Aquilino loved his Lord and wanted to witness to everyone he met and knew. He loved to read his bible, he enjoyed singing and playing his guitar but one of his greatest joys was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Francisca Flores of Hereford, Texas and his children Jose Flores of Hereford, Texas; Adriana Alonzo and her husband Ismael and Ester Flores all of Dallas, Texas; Irma Williams and her husband David of Poquoson, VA.; Silvia Martinez and her husband Michael of San Antonio; Armando Flores and Luis Flores and his wife Brenda all of Mexico; Jose Flores, Jr. of Pilot Pointe, Texas; his siblings Francisco Flores and his wife Teresa of Hereford, Texas; Hector Flores and his wife Benny of Houston, Texas; Lucia Ruellas of Durango, Mexico and Tony Flores and his wife Ana of Bovina, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Aquilino is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Pete and Martin Flores and a sister Rafaela Flores.
