Pablo Lopez, 76, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Hereford. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Daniel Sarmento, Arturo Chavez and Noe Diaz officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Viewing will be on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 2:00-8:00 PM and prayer service at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pablo was born in La Pryor, Texas, on January 25, 1948, to Inez and Francisca (Del Toro) Lopez. He moved to Hereford in 1970 and began working as a butcher/supervisor at Wilson/Armor from 1970-1981. He then began working for Caviness Beef Packers from 1981-2003. He shortly thereafter joined Westway Feed Products as a mixer operator, retiring in 2019, due to his health. Pablo attended Templo La Hermosa in 1988 as was recognized as a pastor in 2017. September 18, 2024, would have been Maria and Pablo's 53rd wedding anniversary; together they had a wonderful life and a beautiful family. Pablo enjoyed hunting, vacationing with his family, and fixing odds and ends at his home. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, but his love was cooking ribs out on the grill for his family and teaching his son the technique and his famous recipe for his ribs. Pablo's presence, smile and his famous ribs will be missed by all who loved him dearly.

Those who will remember and cherish his memories are his wife, Maria Lopez of Hereford, his mother, Francisca (Del Toro) Lopez of La Pryor, his children, Dianna Marquez and her husband Hector of Kyle, Texas, Tirso Lopez and his wife Angie of Hereford, Pablo Lopez, Jr. of Amarillo, and Miguel Lopez of Hereford; 13 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Yesenia, Hector, Jr., Noah, Ivan, Mathew, Tirso Inez, Zachary, Daryn, Mariska, Pablo III, Gabriel and Bella; 10 great grandchildren; his siblings, Diamatina Steel and her husband Buddy, Lourdes Pargas and her husband Alex, Janie Patching and her husband John, Frances Delgado, Tirso Lopez and his wife Eva, and  Isidro Lopez all of La Pryor, Texas, and Frank Lopez of Kansas.

Pablo will be joining his father, Inez Lopez and 2 siblings, Inez Lopez, Jr. and Guadalupe Lopez in heaven.
