Pablo "Paul" Garcia, 82, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Hereford, Texas. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 am at Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Omar Pachecano officiating. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Taft, Texas at the Taft Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 3:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born June 26, 1939, in Tahoka, Texas, he became a resident of Hereford beginning in 1975-1981, then returning to make Hereford his home in 2002 up till his death. Paul was ordained as a minister in O'Donnell, Texas in 1964. He pastored at Thompson Memorial, what is now Genesis Church, from 1975-1981, in 2002 when he returned to Hereford, he was the pastor at Primera Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida till his retirement on June 26, 2021.  Paul was a Minister for 57 years and he pastored at various churches in the panhandle during his lifetime.   Some of the towns that he was a minister in Texas; Petersburg, Paducah, Lubbock, Ropesville, Midland, Seminole, and Pecos. He was an appointed missionary through the Home Mission Board and also loved to spread the gospel throughout Mexico and some regions in South America.   Paul was a former President for the Association of Hispanic Churches (Compañerismo Noroeste). Quoting the bible and praying allowed him to have an intimate relationship with God. He enjoyed having bible studies and praying with his friends, family, and those he would meet. He enjoyed being a Chaplain for Samaritan Hospice and working at Kings Manor Methodist Retirement Home and Hereford Nursing and Rehab for many years.

Paul loved to read, especially the bible, he enjoyed singing, being a jokester, riding his motorcycle (trike), collecting classic model cars, he brought home every stray dog he found, traveling in his RV, camping, going to Camp Menard, building a campfire and gathering all campers to witness and have church, or finding a church while on vacation. Paul loved his Lord and Savior, and it was very evident to those he knew. He was loved by so many, and he loved so many; he and his wife always welcomed anyone who needed a warm place to stay or a homecooked meal. He enjoyed sitting down with a cup of coffee and witnessing to those around. Paul, a great servant of God, will be missed dearly by so many.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Eva Garcia of Hereford, Texas; his beloved children: Paul Garcia, Jr. of Midland, Texas, Noel Garcia and his wife Linda of Lubbock, Texas, Halynn Garcia of College Station, Texas and Olivia Garcia of New Braunfels, Texas; his siblings Elida Perez of Frisco, Texas, Esther Castro of Lubbock, Texas, Amanda Perez of Ralls, Texas, Angelita Niemeyer of Houston, Texas, Alonzo Garcia and his wife Susie of Wolfforth, Texas and Santos Garcia and his wife Maria of Vernon, Texas; half brothers and sisters, Eliseo Garcia, Margie Garcia, Rosie Garcia, Paula Garcia, Modesta Garcia and Elijeo Garcia; 6 grandchildren , Gabriel Garcia, Doralyn Garcia, Brianna Hobson, Lya Foster, Isaac Garcia and Levi Garcia; 11 great-great grandchildren; Lourdes Isabel Foster, Mary Charlotte Foster, Giovanni Dominguez, Analia Garcia, Stetson Garcia, Dallas Garcia, Patrick Hobson, Kora Hunt, Camila Garcia, Viviana Garcia, Scarlet Garcia, ; 2 great-great-great grandchildren, Myla Garcia and Jesus Mateo Alvarado, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Santos Garcia, and Sylvester Garcia, his siblings, Luis Garcia, Sylvester Garcia, Jr. and Lupe Garcia; his half-brothers, Raul, Roy and Sammie Garcia and a great-great grandchild, Logan Noel Garcia.
