Oscar G. Rodriguez went to his heavenly home on September 29, 2025, at the age of ninety-one years old to reunite with his wife and his Heavenly Father. Oscar was loved by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at 10:00am with Pastor Alonzo Garcia officiating at the Avenue Baptist Church of Hereford. A burial will follow at West Park Cemetery. A family friend visitation will be held on Friday October 3rd, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services are entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Oscar was born to his parents Guillermo Rodriguez and Irene (Gonzales) Rodriguez on August 17, 1934, in Linares Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was born and raised in Mexico where he met the love of his life, Maria T. Rodriguez. On November 10th, 1956, they became one. Together they moved to Hereford in the late sixties and raised a beautiful family.

Oscar loved his wife and his children. He was a hardworking man. He loved working on the farm and did that for many years. He was blessed to have worked with amazing bosses. He loved taking his kids and grandkids to the farm and teaching them how to drive. Oscar and Maria raised all their children in the Baptist church. He loved building a community with his neighbors and his church family. He enjoyed spending time with family. In his free time, he enjoyed caring for his lawn to ensure he had the greenest lawn on the block. He also loved spending time with his beautiful bride and caring for her until she went to be with the Lord.

Those left to carry on his loving spirit are his children Gilbert Rodriguez and his wife Nita of Dumas, Texas, Oscar Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and Tammy, John Rodriguez, all of Amarillo, Texas, Margaret Varnell and her husband Dan of Pflugerville, Texas, Armando Rodriguez and his wife Debra of Lubbock, Texas. They have: 38 loving grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Siblings are Pedro, Martin and Marcello, all of Mexico.

Those preceding in his passing: his beautiful wife Maria, parents Guillermo Rodriguez and Irene (Gonzales) Rodriguez, his brothers Pablo, Hugo, Juan, and Antonio and his sisters Juanita, Gloria, and San Juanita, his grandsons Roman R. Rodriguez and Trevor A. Rodriguez.

Oscar G. Rodríguez fue a su hogar celestial el 29 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de noventa y un años para reunirse con su esposa y su Padre Celestial. Oscar fue amado por sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio de Celebración de la Vida el sábado 4 de octubre de 2025 a las 10:00 a.m. con el pastor Alonzo García oficiando en la Iglesia Bautista Avenue de Hereford. Seguirá un entierro en el cementerio de West Park. Se llevará a cabo una visita de amigos de la familia el viernes 3 de octubre de 2025, de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en la funeraria. Los servicios funerarios están a cargo de la funeraria de la familia Méndez y Mullins de Hereford.

Oscar nació de sus padres Guillermo Rodríguez e Irene (Gonzales) Rodríguez el 17 de agosto de 1934 en Linares Nuevo León, México. Nació y creció en México, donde conoció al amor de su vida, María T. Rodríguez. El 10 de noviembre de 1956, se convirtieron en uno. Juntos se mudaron a Hereford a fines de los años sesenta y criaron una hermosa familia.

Oscar amaba a su esposa y a sus hijos. Era un hombre trabajador. Le encantaba trabajar en la granja y lo hizo durante muchos años. Tuvo la suerte de haber trabajado con jefes increíbles. Le encantaba llevar a sus hijos y nietos a la granja y enseñarles a conducir. Oscar y María criaron a todos sus hijos en la iglesia bautista. Le encantaba construir una comunidad con sus vecinos y su familia de la iglesia. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con la familia. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba cuidando su césped para asegurarse de tener el césped más verde de la cuadra. También le encantaba pasar tiempo con su hermosa novia y cuidarla hasta que se fuera a estar con el Señor.

Los que quedan para continuar con su espíritu amoroso son sus hijos Gilbert Rodríguez y su esposa Nita de Dumas, Texas, Oscar Rodríguez, Richard Rodríguez y Tammy, John Rodríguez, todos de Amarillo, Texas, Margaret Varnell y su esposo Dan de Pflugerville, Texas, Armando Rodríguez y su esposa Debra de Lubbock, Texas. Tienen: 38 nietos amorosos, 59 bisnietos y 16 tataranietos. Sus hermanos son Pedro, Martín y Marcello, todos de México.
