Olivia Esmeralda Ortiz, 31, of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Family and friend visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home and rosary will be at 6:00 PM.

Olivia was born October 25, 1989, to Arturo and Melinda (Barrientos) Ortiz. She has been a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas. She attended Hereford schools and later worked as the Assistant Manager at Little Caesar's Pizza. Olivia enjoyed listening to music, but her greatest joy and love in her life were her children. She so much enjoyed spending her time with her children and her family. She loved them all unconditionally.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jazmine Miranda, Victor DeLaCruz, Zyrila DeLaCruz, Hector DeLaCruz and Melinda DeLaCruz all of Hereford, Texas; her parents, Melinda and Arturo Ortiz and Francisco Escobedo all of Hereford, Texas; her siblings, Francisco Escobedo, Jr., Veronica Escobedo and her husband Daniel Sanchez, Guadalupe Escobedo, Alexandra Escobedo and husband Pedro DeCarmen, Jr., and Bianca Escobedo and her husband Justin Villarreal all of Hereford, Texas; her grandparents, Maria Barrientos and Minnie Ortiz of Hereford, Texas, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Olivia will be joining her grandfathers Felix Barrientos and Jose Ortiz in heaven.
