Olivia Luna, 63, of Hereford, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Hereford. Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Hereford with Pastor Scott Johnson and Pastor Bruce Hernandez of Pathpoint Fellowship Church of Amarillo, TX officiating, with burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, TX. Viewing will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3:30 – 8:00 PM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.

Olivia was born on December 17, 1956 to Albert and Amelia (Deeanda) Cardenas in Pontiac, Michigan.  She has been a longtime resident of Hereford, Texas, graduating from Hereford High School in 1975, after high school Olivia attended and graduated college at West Texas A&M. She married George Luna in 1988, they shared 32 wonderful years together. Olivia worked for the Hereford Independent School District for many years before retiring, then worked as a bank teller at the Hereford Federal Credit Union. She was a member of Pathpoint Fellowship Church. Olivia loved traveling, shopping, cross stitching, and car shows.  George and Oliva were hooked on Hot Rods and served together on the committee of Dad Fest, they traveled all over attending car shows.  In their younger years, Olivia enjoyed riding on the back of George's motorcycle as they traveled the country together.  She was very generous and enjoyed baking cakes and sweets to give to all her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband George Luna of Hereford, TX; daughter Monica Holland and her husband Samuel of Round Rock, TX; son Joseph Luna and his wife Hanna of Round Rock, TX; grandson Hayden Holland; siblings Albert Cardenas and his wife Ellena of Hereford, TX, Becky Cardenas of Canyon, TX, and Victor Cardenas and his wife Jenny of Santa Fe, NM; and several nieces and nephews.

Olivia has joined her parents in heaven.
