Olga C. Tijerina, 78, a longtime resident of Hereford, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, September 24, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Olga was born March 10, 1943, in Harlingen, Texas to Ciro and Estella (Alejandre) Casarez. Olga took much pride in being a homemaker by raising her seven children and taking care of her husband. In her earlier years Olga loved to cook and bake and was excellent at it. She always had three meals prepared for her family and there was always something good to eat in her home. She enjoyed working in her garden and making her yard beautiful. She loved to sing to her grandchildren, color in her coloring books and frame them and give her beautiful work of art to her children as gifts. Olga loved to get on her phone- and call-in orders for several things that she wanted. She looked forward to getting her nails and hair done often; she loved praying her rosary and praying for her family and those that she loved; she delighted in her chocolate goodies, such as, Almond Joy candy bars, Snickers and Paydays. Olga was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be dearly missed.

Those left to remember and cherish her memories are her children, Joe Tijerina and his wife Ernestine of Hereford, Texas, Yolanda Tijerina of Herford, Texas, Abelardo Tijerina and his wife Sandra of Harker Heights, Texas, Henrietta Tijerina of Hereford, Texas, Janet Tijerina and her husband Hilario Fuentes of Hereford, Texas, Ciro Tijerina and his wife Jessie of Olton, Texas, and Olga Tijerina and her fiancé Lee Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas; her siblings, Ciro Casarez, Mike Casarez and his wife Julia, David Casarez and his wife Suzie, Sylvia Cardenas and her husband Juan all of Hereford, Texas, and Leticia Alejandre of Phoenix, AZ.; 18 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.

Olga will be joining her parents, her husband, Jose Tijerina, a grandchild, Kaydance Fuentes, and her siblings, Elva Castillo, Minerva DeLeon and Guadalupe Casarez in heaven.
