Noel Esqueda, 80, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Hereford, Texas. Surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins family funeral home of Hereford, Texas. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a Rosary/Vigil Service beginning at 6:30 P.M., officiated by Deacon Rick Mendez.

Noel was born on July 25,1942 in Dilley, Texas to Urbano and Antonia (Ayala) Esqueda. He lived in Hereford for 59 years.

Noel married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life Mary Ann Aldaco on September 22,1963 in Hereford.

He worked as a farm laborer, most of his younger life. He also worked at White Implement and First Baptist Church until his retirement in 2013.

Noel's hobbies were working and restoring antique cars and his greatest joy was riding his Harley's in his younger years.

Noel enjoyed traveling and being together with his wife Mary Ann and in laws Abel and Ophelia Echevarria, together they would stop at numerous casinos along the way.

His greatest pride and joy were his wife, son and daughter and especially being Pompa to his granddaughters and his great-grandchildren and being known as "Pompa" to everyone that knew him and loved him. Our Pompa was a hardworking, devoted, gentle, and loving man who was always ready to give a big hug and kiss to all of us. We will miss him dearly love you always Pompa, you will be in our hearts now and forever.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years Mary Ann Esqueda of Hereford, Texas; son Todd Esqueda of Hereford, Texas, daughter Lina Esqueda of Amarillo, Texas, granddaughters, Brandi Ramirez and husband Jason Ramirez of Hereford, Texas. Chelsi Gaines and husband Richard Gaines of Amarillo, Texas. Britni Esqueda and husband Joshua Barrientez of Hereford, Texas. Celeste Ruiz of Amarillo, Texas. Great-Grandchildren; Brooklyn Gaines, Kamrynn Ramirez, Brynlee Noelle Ruiz, Jayla Barrientez, Bri'lyn Gaines, and step great-granddaughter JayBri Barrientez. His brothers Ignacio Esqueda and wife Olivia of Hereford, Texas, Fred Villanueva and wife Kathy of Brazoria, Texas and sisters Selda Rosales of Amarillo, Texas, Vel Cantu of Hereford, Texas and Erma Ramos of Brazoria, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, a close family friend Alice Lueb of Hereford, Texas, and numerous close friends.

Noel is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jacinto Esqueda and five sisters, Pauline de la Fuente, Jesusa Diaz, Modesta Quintanilla, Christina Esqueda, Maria Esqueda, and a great – grand baby.
