Neoma (Jackson) Stokesberry, 91, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Les Hamby and Jad Hubbard officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Family and Friend Visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Neoma was born on July 5, 1933, in Lamb County to Marvin and Annie Opal (Taylor) Jackson. She married Charles "Chuck" Stokesberry on September 18, 1960, and together made a home and raised their three daughters in Hereford, Texas. Neoma was a proud homemaker and was the bookkeeper for her husband Charles' business, "Chucks Garage." She was also a member of the Ford Home Extension Club. Neoma enjoyed sewing, quilting, oil painting, fishing, gardening, canning, and was an avid Rangers Baseball fan. She always had a huge vegetable garden and beautiful flowers and roses. Neoma's greatest love was for her family, hosting family gatherings and making things for her grandchildren. Neoma was a strong, independent, determined and very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Cindy Thomet and husband Rick of Amarillo, Texas, Deanna Hubbard and husband Jad of Smithville, Texas, and Kelly Hamby and husband Les of Hereford, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy Freeman and wife Heather, Jessica Hamby, Aaron Freeman and wife Jadawna, Jason Freeman and wife Brittney, Teresa Hamby, Melissa Hamby, Courtney Clark and husband Andrew, Holly Freeman, Jaci Hubbard, Kailee Hubbard and fiancée Ben, Lainie Hubbard, and Kinnley Hubbard; great grandchildren Ember Freeman and Elias Ray Freeman; chosen great granddaughter Laylah Zapata; sister Nadine Scales of Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles "Chuck" Stokesberry; parents, Marvin and Annie Opal Jackson; sisters, Daphine and Venita; brothers, Lawrence and Eugene; grandsons, Codey Freeman and Ryan Freeman; and great grandson Cody Lee Freeman.
