Nellie Gilliland, 93, of Hereford passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 in Hereford. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Fulkerson officiating, burial to follow at West Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Viewing will be Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Nellie was born September 15, 1925 in Paris, Texas to William and Johnnie (Gould) Cockrum. Nellie has lived in Hereford for more than 70 years. She married Clyde Gilliland in 1957. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. As the daughter and wife of servicemen, she was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Those left to cherish her memories are a son-in-law Bruce Callison of Burleson, TX.; two grandsons Robert Callison of Joshua, TX. and Charles Callison of Abilene, TX.; two granddaughters Dianna Dallinger and her husband Andrew of Ft. Worth, TX. and Rain Callison of Burleson, TX.; two great-great grandchildren Benjamin and Clara Dallinger both of Ft. Worth, TX. and a sister-in-law Mattie Beasley of Hereford, TX.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Gilliland, a daughter Nellie Callison; three brothers Bill, Herbert and Thomas Cockrum and two sisters Helen and Lillie Mae.
