Naomi Michelle De La Paz, 36, a resident of Amarillo, Texas, but formerly of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant David Contreras officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Naomi was born to her loving parents, Richard De La Paz and Beatrice (Maldonado) De La Paz on January 20, 1988, in Amarillo, Texas. She was a longtime Hereford resident where she was raised and graduated from Hereford High School class of 2006. She eventually moved to Amarillo and attended Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University. Naomi was a wonderful caretaker to her mother, Beatrice, up until her mother's last day here on this earth. She had a huge heart and never met a stranger; she was loving and would do anything for her family and friends. Naomi would make special treats for all the nurses and staff at the dialysis center, she was always giving to others. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Naomi was young but had an old soul that will be cherished by her family and friends for eternity; her presence, her beautiful smile and giving heart and spirit will be missed by all who loved her deeply.

Those left to cherish and treasure her memories are her father, Richard De La Paz of Amarillo, Texas; her siblings, Ricky De La Paz and his wife Amanda and Jeremiah De La Paz all of Hereford, Texas; her loving Cat named Dog; her nieces and nephew, Samantha, Morelia, Ricardo and Olivia; her great nieces, Amara and Savanna; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Naomi is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice De La Paz, her son, Maddox Ray Gonzalez, and her sister, Christina De La Paz.
