Nancy "Memom" Ruckman, 76, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Friona. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel in Hereford with Pastor Sam White officiating.  The viewing will be held before service from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Nancy was born on May 20, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas to William Guy and Virginia (Noe) Bedford. She married Alvin Ruckman on August 21, 1965, at the home of her parents in Burkburnett, Texas. They moved to Hereford in 1972. Nancy worked as the office manager for Keeling Cattle Feeders until her retirement. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of Hereford and the United Methodist Women serving both as secretary. Nancy enjoyed bowling and was a part of the women and mixed bowling leagues and was awarded one year, "bowler of the year". She was a sports fanatic following and cheering on her grandchildren at all of their sporting events. Nancy also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, and working in her yard and flower beds.  Nancy was onery and lovingly picked on her family.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Alvin Ruckman of Hereford, Texas; two sons, Gary Ruckman and wife Pam of Hereford, Texas and Bill Ruckman and wife Cecilia of Cedar Hill, Texas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christopher Ruckman (son Alex Ruckman) of Lubbock, Texas, Casey Ruckman and wife Kailey (daughter Lila Ruckman) of Shallowater, Texas, Clint Ruckman and wife Bailey of Schulenburg, Texas (sons Braxton and Gavin Ruckman, daughter Lennon Ruckman), Ryne Ruckman and wife Emily of Lubbock, Texas (children Finley, Graham, Rowan, and Peyton Ruckman); brothers, Jack Bedford of Milan, Tennessee and Bill Bedford and wife Sherry of Callahan, Florida; sisters, Jeanette Bailey of Wichita Falls and Linda Shamblin and husband Richard of Bryan, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents William and Virginia Bedford and granddaughter Kari Jo Ruckman.
