Moses Chavez Casarez, 31, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford, with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral. A viewing will be on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Moses was born on February 10, 1992, in Hereford, Texas, to his parents, Jackie Garza Casarez and Ciro Casarez III. Moses graduated from Hereford High School in 2010 and then continued his education at San Antonio College, where he received his associate degree. Moses also had his CDL and worked in construction and transport for the family business Hereford Concrete. Moses 's passion was music; he played the keyboard, the guitar, was a songwriter, loved singing, and had a beautiful voice. He was also a jack of all trades and enjoyed trying something new. Moses was a good cook, even taught his mom a few things, and he loved banana pudding. Moses was a very loving, generous, and kind person who knew no strangers and he loved a celebration.

Moses joined his brother Jay Chavez Casarez, maternal grandparents Antonio Sr. and Petra Garza, paternal grandmother Espie Casarez, and a host of loving relatives who greeted him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Jackie and Ciro Casarez III; siblings, Danielle Garza and her wife Andrea of San Antonio, Henry Chavez and his wife Kahdija of Austin, Texas, and Irah Contra and her husband Marius of Marble Falls; four nieces and four nephews; granddad Ciro Casarez, Jr.; and several more loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
