Minerva Irene Ruiz-Ortiz, de 64 años, de Hereford, Texas, falleció el sábado 30 de agosto de 2025 en Hereford, rodeada de su amada familia.

Minerva nació el 14 de octubre de 1960 en Gómez, Chihuahua, México, hija de Ramiro Ruiz Chacón e Irma Belia Ortiz Ruiz. Ha sido residente de Hereford durante más de 25 años y miembro de la Iglesia Católica de San José. Minerva era una experta en todos los oficios y trabajó en muchos lugares diferentes a lo largo de los años. Disfrutaba de la música, el baile, la lectura de su Biblia, los rompecabezas y el canal QVC. Era perfeccionista, fuerte, estricta y mantenía todo extremadamente organizado y limpio. Minerva era cariñosa y le encantaba ayudar a la gente; Siempre pensó primero en los demás, especialmente en su familia.

Los que quedan para atesorar sus recuerdos son su hija Tanya Ruiz de Amarillo, Texas; tres nietos, Orlando Olvera, Iván Domínguez y Yareli Fuentes; cuatro hermanos, Ramiro Ruiz y su esposa Lourdes, Jesús Fernando Ruiz y su esposa Hilda, Ignacio Ruiz todos de Hereford, Texas, y Nerio Arturo Ruiz y su esposa Patricia de Chihuahua, México; numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos, y su querida amiga Alice Holguín.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, Ramiro e Irma Ruiz, su hijo Aaron Ivan Ruiz, sus hermanos Isidro Ruiz y Mario Ruiz, y su sobrino Luiz Alfredo Ruiz.

La misa fúnebre será el jueves 4 de septiembre de 2025 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica San José en Hereford, con Monseñor Arturo Meza oficiando. El entierro seguirá en el cementerio West Park en Hereford, Texas, bajo la dirección de Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Una visita de familiares y amigos será el miércoles 3 de septiembre de 2025, de 4:00 a 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria con el rezo del rosario a las 6:00 p.m.

Minerva Irene Ruiz-Ortiz, 64, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in Hereford, surrounded by her loving family.

Minerva was born on October 14, 1960, in Gomez, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Ramiro Ruiz Chacon and Irma Belia Ortiz Ruiz. She has been a resident of Hereford for 25 plus years and a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Minerva was a jack of all trades and worked at many different places over the years. She enjoyed music, dancing, reading her bible, doing work puzzles, and watching the QVC channel. She was a perfectionist, strong, strict, and kept everything extremely organized and clean. Minerva was caring and loved to help people; she always thought of others first, especially her family.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Tanya Ruiz of Amarillo, Texas; three grandchildren, Orlando Olvera, Ivan Dominguez, and Yareli Fuentes; four brothers, Ramiro Ruiz and wife Lourdes, Jesus Fernando Ruiz and wife Hilda, Ignacio Ruiz all of Hereford, Texas, and Nerio Arturo Ruiz and wife Patricia of Chihuahua, Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Alice Holguin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramiro and Irma Ruiz, son Aaron Ivan Ruiz, brothers Isidro Ruiz and Mario Ruiz, and nephew Luiz Alfredo Ruiz.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church in Hereford, with Monsignor Arturo Meza officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. A Family and Friend visitation will be on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home with the rosary being recited at 6:00 PM .
