Miguel A. Lopez, 73, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Dimmitt, Texas.

Miguel was born on November 12, 1950, in Guatemala to Juan Ramon Lopez and Mara de Carmen (Semiya) Lopez. He has been a resident of Hereford since 2019, before moving to Hereford, Miguel lived in Arizona with his wife Nicolasa. Miguel and Nicolasa (Lima) Lopez were married on January 10, 1989, in Guatemala.

Miguel worked as a chef for an Italian Restaurant called Milano's in Arizona and for the Hyatt Hotel Restaurant. He enjoyed cooking and was great at it. Miguel loved his dog Toby, they were best friends and spent time together at the park, going for walks, and eating ice cream. Miguel enjoyed his morning coffee with pan and loved all types of soups.

Miguel was a funny, sarcastic man, the comedian of his family. He loved to tease his grandchildren and was very protective of his family. He enjoyed his naps, and time spent with family. Miguel was stubborn, strong, caring, and always there if his family needed him.

Those left to cherish his memories are wife Nicolasa Lopez of Hereford, TX; children, Miriam Arce and husband Lorenzo of Hereford, TX, Alex Lopez of Hereford, TX, Silvia Lopez of Oregan, and Astrid Lopez and her husband William Erdmann of Arizona; grandchildren, Elizabeth Arce of Arizona, Lorenzo Arce of Arizona, Josselin Arce of Hereford, TX, and Alejandro Lopez of Chile; great granddaughter Aylani Marquez of Hereford, TX; and sister Rosa Lopez of Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Lusbin Lopez, and brother Luis Lopez.

Arrangements and Cremation Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at a later date.

Miguel trabajó como chef para un restaurante italiano llamado Milano's en Arizona y para el restaurante del hotel Hyatt. Le gustaba cocinar y era muy bueno en eso. Miguel amaba a su perro Toby, eran mejores amigos y pasaban tiempo juntos en el parque, paseando y comiendo helado. Miguel disfrutaba de su café matutino con sartén y le encantaban todo tipo de sopas.

Miguel era un hombre divertido y sarcástico, el cómico de su familia. Le encantaba bromear con sus nietos y era muy protector con su familia. Disfrutaba de sus siestas y del tiempo que pasaba con su familia. Miguel era testarudo, fuerte, cariñoso y siempre estaba ahí si su familia lo necesitaba.

Los que quedan para atesorar sus recuerdos son su esposa Nicolasa López de Hereford, TX; hijos, Miriam Arce y su esposo Lorenzo de Hereford, TX, Alex Lopez de Hereford, TX, Silvia Lopez de Oregan, y Astrid Lopez y su esposo William Erdmann de Arizona; nietos, Elizabeth Arca de Arizona, Lorenzo Arce de Arizona, Josselin Arce de Hereford, TX, y Alejandro López de Chile; bisnieta Aylani Márquez de Hereford, TX; y la hermana Rosa López, de Arizona.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, su hijo Lusbin López y su hermano Luis López.
