Michael Anthony Zuniga, 60, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Family Church with Pastor Ruben Coronado officiating. Burial to follow at West Park Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. A viewing will be on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Michael was born on November 24, 1962, in San Angelo, Texas, to Arthur Zuniga and Amelia (Rios) Amaro. He is a longtime resident of Hereford and worked various odd jobs as a Handy Man. Michael was a member of Calvary Family Church. He loved to tinker, build and fix things, draw, paint, and do various art projects. Michael was a jokester and enjoyed celebrating his birthday the entire month and enjoyed family gatherings and holidays.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Amelia Amaro and her husband Pedro of Hereford, Texas; father, Arthur Zuniga of Washington; children, Matthew Jeffrey, Mark Jeffrey and his wife Claudia, Miles Jeffrey and his wife Krista, all of Florida, Monica Zuniga and Domingo Zuniga both of Minnesota; several grandchildren; sister Cindy Trevino and her husband Ricky Prieto of Hereford, Texas; brothers Arthur Zuniga Jr. of Hereford, Texas, Andrew Zuniga of Amarillo, Texas, and Alex Zuniga of California; his best friend Maria Rosa Saucedo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Jeffrey, son Michael Jeffrey Jr., and aunt Antonia Rios.
