Michael "Tiny" Leal passed away peacefully at his home in Hereford surrounded by his loving family at the age of 53 years old on Thursday, June 27, 2024. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Nazarene Family Church of Hereford, burial will follow at West Park Cemetery. A family and friend visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with a prayer service starting at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Leal family has entrusted local arrangements to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford.

Michael was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, on June 16, 1971, to his loving parents, Daniel Leal and Magdalena (Frausto) Leal. He was a long-time resident of Hereford and graduated from Hereford High Class of '89. He went on to work in construction and later became a Truck Driver, developing a strong work ethic. He played in several bands as a talented drummer, he truly had a passion for music. When he turned the key to start his engine in his car the first thing, he did was turn the music on loud enough for all to hear. Michael enjoyed fishing and being outdoors with friends and family, he made a cookout on June 16, 2024, to celebrate his 53rd birthday and invited all his neighbors.

Micheal had a big heart and loved everyone, when it was winter and if he saw someone without a jacket, he would take his off and give it to them. Micheal loved to see others smile he had a great sense of humor and loved to share jokes. He truly never met a stranger and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his uplifting spirit are his mother, Magdalena Leal of Hereford, Texas; his siblings, Leroy Lucero and his wife Ranae of Canyon, Texas, Danny Leal and his wife Olga of Hereford, Texas, Gilbert Leal of Bandera, Texas; his fur baby Cocoa of Hereford, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

Those preceding him in passing are his father, Daniel Leal and his loving Tia.
