Mateo Zetino Ambrocio, 28, of Friona, Texas passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 in Friona. Family and friend gathering will be Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Iglesia Evangelica Nueva Jerusalen in Friona, Texas at 10:00 AM till 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Mateo was born September 6, 1991 in Joyaba Quiche, Guatemala to Juaquin Zetino Ramos and Candelaria Ambrocio de la Cruz. Mateo has been a resident of Friona for approximately three years. He married Ana Juarez Pú on February 20, 2007. Mateo was a musician and enjoyed playing the trumpet and saxophone; he enjoyed reading his bible and attending church.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Ana Juarez Pú of Friona, Texas, three children Juaquin Zetino Juarez, Hector Gaspar Zetino Juarez and Yobani Hilario Zetino Juarez all of Guatemala; his parents Juaquin Zetino Ramos and Candelaria Ambrocio de la Cruz; six brothers Diego Zetino Ambrocio of Nebraska, Juan Zetino Ambrocio of Guatemala, Hilario Zetino Ambrocio of Woodward, OK., Tomas Zetino Ambrocio, Santiago Zetino Ambrocio and Roberto Zetino Ambrocio all of Friona, Texas; three sisters Manuela Zetino Ambrocio of Hereford, Texas, Magdalena Zetino Ambrocio of Guatemala and Dominga Zetino Ambrocio of Friona, Texas.

Mateo is preceded in death by his daughter Sandy Hilaria Zetino Juarez on December 20, 2019.
