Martin Rivera, 56, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Amarillo. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Victory Family Worship Center in Hereford, Texas with Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating.

Martin was born on December 10, 1963 in Tahoka, Texas to Juan Rivera, Sr. and Beatrice (Rodriguez)Torres. Martin has been a resident of Hereford since the 1970's. Martin married Alicia Dominguez in 1997. Martin worked as a Semi Driver and was a manure sprayer for many years.  Martin loved to have a good time whether it be Sunday afternoon baseball and kickball with the family, bull riding, dancing or playing cards; he was very, competitive.  He was a big fan of Ric Flair "The Nature Boy" and the San Francisco 49ers. Martin loved to travel any and everywhere.  He enjoyed life and was famous in his family for the phrase, "to be the man, you got to be the man!" Martin loved his kids and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Alicia, daughters: Laura, Alicia B., Yolanda, and Micaela Rivera all of Hereford, TX; Daughter Jasmine Martinez and husband Augustine of Amarillo, TX; Son M. R. Rivera and wife Natasha of Lubbock, TX; daughter Amanda Rose Rivera of Illinois, daughter Francis Perez and husband Athan of Hereford, TX; son Martin Rivera Jr. of Clovis, NM, and daughter Guadalupe Lira and husband Gonzalo of Hereford, TX; brother Henry Torres and wife Christina of Hereford, Texas; sisters: Maria Benavides and husband Juan of Tahoka, TX, Laura Acuna and husband Albert of Hereford, Texas, and Norma Torres of Hereford, TX; grandchildren: Am'Brie and Blaz'Lin Rivera, Josiah and Leon Rodriguez, Jr. and Anastigia Berumen; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Juan Rivera and Rayes Rivera and granddaughter Anaxlya Rodriguez.
