Mark Hicks, 72, a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Dimmitt, Texas. Graveside Services will be Friday, November 5, 2021, at 10:00 AM at West Park Cemetery with Roger Morris and Rev. Rusty Dickerson officiating. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Mark was born February 3, 1949, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to R.D. and Mildred (Stewart) Hicks. Mark has been a lifelong resident of Hereford, Texas, graduating from Hereford High School in 1967. He married the love of his life Susan Bradley on July 25, 1969. Mark has been a farmer and rancher all his adult life. He was a 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) leader from 1981-2004, Mark was very instrumental in helping raise the funds needed to build the Project Center for the FFA and 4-H kids and was a member of the Stock Show Buyer's Club. He was very active on the King's Manor Founders Board for 25 years. Mark enjoyed livestock shows, fishing, training border collie dogs, coyote hunting and anything that allowed him to be in the country.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Susan Hicks of Hereford, Texas, his children, Jeff Hicks of Canyon, Texas, Jennifer Brown and her husband Gary of Amarillo, Texas, Jordan Hicks of Hereford, Texas and Josh Hicks of O'Donnell, Texas; 6 grandchildren Morgan and Claire Hicks, Sawyer Kliesen, Bradley Brown and Jaetyn and Kennedy Hicks and 1 great grandchild Parker Hicks.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, R.D. and Mildred Hicks.
