Maria "Coco" Peña, 64 of Hereford, Texas passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church with Celebrant Nestor Lara officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery.  Viewing will begin on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:30 PM- 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A face mask is suggested to be worn while at the funeral home and is required to be worn at the church. Your safety and health matter to us.

Coco was born June 27, 1956 in Laredo, Texas to Efrain and Dolores (Sandoval) Servin. Coco has been a resident of Hereford for 40 years. She has been with and married to Jaime Aguilera for 32 years. Coco was employed with Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation as a Safety Coordinator for 32 years. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Coco enjoyed singing, watching scary movies, dancing, playing Bingo and the Lotteria, vacationing with her husband to many different states, but above all these her greatest love was her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and talking on the phone with her boys and her family. Coco enjoyed socializing with those she loved.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jaime Aguilera of Hereford, TX., 2 sons, Oscar Peña, Sr. and his wife Veronica and Adrian Peña, Sr. all of Lubbock, TX., 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her fur baby Peke; 2 brothers and 7 sisters.

Coco will be joining her parents and her son, Luis Peña III, and her fur baby Chiquito in heaven.
