Maria Luisa "Licha" Garcia, 84, of Hereford, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in Hereford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Grant Spinhirne officiating, burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery under the direction of Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford. Visitation and Viewing will be on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM.

Maria Luisa was born on August 11, 1940, in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Fructuoso and Manuela (Santos) Garcia. Maria worked as a field laborer in agriculture.  She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with family. Maria was quiet, caring, and loving, always trying to do things for others.

Those left to cherish her memories are her brothers Albino Garcia and wife Juanita, Jose Garcia and wife Rosa, and Fructuoso Garcia, Jr. and wife Estella all of Hereford, Texas, sister Maria Garcia Perez of Progreso, Texas, and many loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fructuoso and Manuela Garcia, four brothers Guillermo Garcia, Fidel Garcia, Edmundo Garcia and Manuel Garcia, and one sister Guadalupe Garcia.
