Maria "Ofelia" Enriquez, de 88 años, de Hereford, Texas, falleció pacíficamente rodeada de su familia en Amarillo, Texas.

La Misa de Funeral Cristiano se celebrará el martes 30 de junio de 2026 a las 10:00 de la mañana en la Iglesia Católica de San José, con el oficiante Shane Wieck oficiando. El entierro tendrá lugar después en el cementerio de San Antonio.

Ofelia nació el 26 de octubre de 1937 en La Mesa María de León, Jalisco, México, hija de Cenovio Muñoz Renteria y María de Santiago de Santiago. El 29 de octubre de 1953, se casó con el amor de su vida, Pedro Enríquez Díaz, en Jalisco, México. Juntos, construyeron una vida maravillosa y formaron una familia hermosa.

Ofelia se enorgullecía mucho de cuidar de su marido y de criar a sus hijos. Residente de Hereford desde 1994, disfrutaba viendo novelas, animando al fútbol Chivas, usando Facebook y saboreando su Coca-Cola y café diarios. Por encima de todo, era una mujer devota de fe que rezaba el rosario a diario y vivía como una verdadera guerrera de Jesús. Su presencia, amor y risas serán profundamente echados de menos por todos los que la amaron.

Ofelia deja en vida a sus hijos: Pedro Enríquez y su esposa, Elvira; Adela Contreras y su marido, Martin; Mario Enriquez y su esposa, Eleticia; Elías Enríquez y su esposa, Ana; Agustín Enríquez y su esposa, Elva; y Rodrigo Enríquez y su esposa, Patricia, todos de Hereford; y Lidia Enríquez de Colón y su marido, Gustavo, y Raúl Enríquez y su esposa, María, todos de México. También le sobreviven 34 nietos y 38 bisnietos y muchas sobrinas y sobrinos.

Ofelia fue precedida en la muerte por sus padres; su marido, Pedro Enríquez Díaz; su hija pequeña, Adela; y sus hermanos, Refugio, Alfredo, Jesús, Juan, Luis y Salvador Muñoz, y una hermana, Eustolia Muñoz.

Maria "Ofelia" Enriquez, 88, of Hereford, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Amarillo, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church, with Celebrant Shane Wieck officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 2:00–8:00 PM at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas.

Ofelia was born on October 26, 1937, in La Mesa Maria de Leon, Jalisco, Mexico, to Cenoavio Munoz Renteria and Maria De Santiago De Santiago. On October 29, 1953, she married the love of her life, Pedro Enriquez Diaz, in Jalisco, Mexico. Together, they built a wonderful life and raised a beautiful family.

Ofelia took great pride in caring for her husband and raising her children. A resident of Hereford since 1994, she enjoyed watching novelas, cheering for Chivas soccer, using Facebook, and savoring her daily Coca-Cola and coffee. Above all, she was a devoted woman of faith who prayed the rosary daily and lived as a true warrior of Jesus. Her presence, love, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Ofelia is survived by her children: Pedro Enriquez and his wife, Elvira; Adela Contreras and her husband, Martin; Mario Enriquez and his wife, Eleticia; Elias Enriquez and his wife, Ana; Augustin Enriquez and his wife, Elva; and Rodrigo Enriquez and his wife, Patricia, all of Hereford; and Lidia Enriquez de Colon and her husband, Gustavo, and Raul Enriquez and his wife, Maria, all of Mexico. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ofelia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pedro Enriquez Diaz; her infant daughter, Adela; and her brothers, Refugio, Alfredo, Jesus, Juan, Luis, and Salvador Muñoz and a sister Eustolia Muñoz.
