María Luz nació el 27 de octubre de 1945 en Santiago Capitiro, Guanajuato, México, hija de Francisco e Isidra (Hernández) Ramírez. Ella ha sido residente de Hereford, Texas, durante 30 años. María Luz se casó con el amor de su vida Elías Baca en 1964, en México. Trabajó en Casa Abalos Restaurant y Parson's Steakhouse en Hereford, Texas, durante algunos años; asistió a la Iglesia Católica de San José. María Luz era una excelente cocinera, a sus hijos les encantaban especialmente sus gorditas, enchiladas y mole, pero dicen que toda su cocina fue excepcional. Le encantaba mantener una casa muy limpia y ordenada. María Luz amaba a su familia y cuidaba de sus nietos; Amaba las flores y tenía un espíritu y un corazón muy amables y cariñosos. Ella era una esposa, madre, hermana, abuela y amiga amorosa y maravillosa para muchos. Maria Luz será extrañada por su familia y amigos.

Los que quedan para apreciar sus recuerdos son su esposo Elías Baca de Hereford, Texas; sus hijos, Javier Baca y su esposa Rebecca Vega de Hereford, Texas, Rafael Baca y su esposa Ashley Beltrán de Indiana, María Elena Arriaga de California, y Patricia Nava y su esposo John de Hereford, Texas; sus hermanos, Carmen Hernández y Estella Ramírez y su esposo Manuel Jiménez todos de México; 12 nietos y 11 bisnietos.

María Luz es precedida en la muerte por sus padres, 2 hermanos, Efran Ramírez y Francisco Hernández, una hermana Delores Hernández y un yerno Manuel Arriaga.

Maria Luz Baca, 77, of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, in Hereford, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM with Celebrant Ramon Molina officiating. Burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 2:30-8:00 PM and rosary at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Maria Luz was born on October 27, 1945, in Santiago Capitiro, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Francisco and Isidra (Hernandez) Ramirez. She has been a resident of Hereford, Texas, for 30 years. Maria Luz married the love of her life Elias Baca in 1964, in Mexico. She worked at Casa Abalos Restaurant and Parson's Steakhouse in Hereford, Texas, for a few years; she attended San Jose Catholic Church. Maria Luz was an excellent cook, her children especially loved her gorditas, enchiladas and mole, but they say all her cooking was exceptional. She loved to keep a very clean and tidy house. Maria Luz loved her family and took care of her grandchildren; she loved flowers and had a very kind and caring spirit and heart. She was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many. Maria Luz will be missed by her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Elias Baca of Hereford, Texas; her children, Javier Baca and his wife Rebecca Vega of Hereford, Texas, Rafael Baca and his wife Ashley Beltran of Indiana, Maria Elena Arriaga of California, and Patricia Nava and her husband John of Hereford, Texas; her siblings, Carmen Hernandez and Estella Ramirez and her husband Manuel Jimenez all of Mexico; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Maria Luz is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Efran Ramirez and Francisco Hernandez, a sister Delores Hernandez and a son-in-law Manuel Arriaga.
